Paul Paszkowski
Contract Military Justice Investigator
Paul Paszkowski is a former United States Army Criminal Investigation Division (CID) investigator with over 22 years of experience in evidence collection, interviews with alleged victims, and case documentation. The last four years of his career at CID were spent at the agency’s headquarters in Quantico, Virginia, as a member of the Investigations and Operations Directorate. Currently, Paul is a contracted defense investigator for Capovilla and Williams, where he provides crucial support to clients and assists the team in uncovering the truth. His casework spans various areas, including courts-martials, separation boards, and military administrative matters such as AR 15-6 investigations and General Officer Memorandums of Reprimand (GOMORs).
Paul began his career as a Special Agent in CID in 2002, conducting felony-level investigations for the Fort Jackson, South Carolina, military community. Following this assignment, he became an Assistant Special Agent in Charge at a European-based USACID office, providing felony investigative support for military communities in the Wiesbaden, Germany area. He also conducted felony investigations for the Friedberg, Germany, military community.
In 2010, Paul served as a CID Special Agent in Charge in a deployed environment at Camp Taji, Iraq, where he managed, directed, and supervised all felony-level investigative actions within an office that initially comprised four personnel. After this deployment, he worked as a Supervisory Special Agent at Fort Sill, Oklahoma, directing a five-person narcotics and gang investigative team.
From 2011 to 2015, Paul held the position of Special Agent in Charge at Carlisle Barracks in Pennsylvania. He led a protective detail composed of 18 Protective Service Agents responsible for the personal protection of the Chief of the National Guard Bureau, a seated member of the Department of Defense Joint Chiefs of Staff.
From 2017 to 2019, Paul served as a Supervisory Special Agent in Quantico, Virginia. During this time, he managed a Threat Management team of 4-5 employees responsible for evaluating, assessing, investigating, and managing individuals who made direct or veiled threats or posed inappropriate interests toward high-ranking Department of Defense officials, including the Secretary of Defense, Deputy Secretary of Defense, Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, Vice Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, Secretary of the Army, Chief of Staff of the Army, Chief of the National Guard Bureau, and their foreign counterparts.
In 2019, Paul was selected to serve as a member of the Investigations and Operations Directorate at the USACID headquarters in Quantico, Virginia. In this role, he provided criminal investigative support and oversight worldwide, served as a principal advisor and action officer to the Director on all matters related to felony investigations and crime prevention, reviewed investigative reports for quality assurance and adherence to standards, and conducted operational reviews while responding to queries from the Department of Defense, Congress, and the President.
