Jeremy Koop

Paralegal

Jeremy Koop

Jeremy Koop is a combat veteran with more than 20 years of service in United States Army.  He brings a powerful combination of formal legal training, hands-on experience – obtained at four of the largest JAG offices in the country – and a passion for ensuring that service members and veterans receive a fair and just result in the military justice system.  His day-to-day work at C & W involves everything from meeting with clients and interviewing witnesses to researching complex legal issues and drafting critical documents for use in high-stakes court-martial and separation board litigation.

Jeremy’s military experience is extensive.  He served as a Senior Paralegal at military installations throughout the world, including Fort Hood, Fort Campbell, Fort Belvoir, Joint Base Langley-Eustis, and Camp Red Cloud in the Republic of Korea.  In these roles, Jeremy routinely played a key part in high-profile cases involving every section of the Uniform Code of Military Conduct while also earning a reputation for exceptional work in the areas of investigation, legal research and writing, and setting and managing priorities for large trial teams.

Jeremy entered the Army shortly after 9-11-2001. At that time, he was a Licensed Journeyman Electrician in the State of Utah. He entered the Army through the Army Acquired Civilian Skills Program.  Early in his military career, he worked as both a vertical construction and marine maintenance electrician.  He was deployed to Turkey, Kuwait, and Afghanistan during these years where he helped build soldier living and operational structures in addition to holding responsibilities for the maintenance and safety of over twenty Army watercraft.

Jeremy holds a Bachelor of Science in Criminal Justice Administration from Columbia Southern University and has successfully completed several military training courses, including the Senior Leaders Course, Advanced Leader Course, Basic Leader Course, Paralegal Specialist Course, and Multi-Media Illustration Course.
