WHO IS THE BEST MILITARY LAW FIRM AT BEALE AIR FORCE BASE, CALIFORNIA?

As an Airman dealing with allegations at Beale Air Force Base, you deserve a law firm that brings confidence, experience, and relentless advocacy to your case. You need a team with proven experience, ready to take on your case with the utmost care and diligence. Furthermore, it’s essential to have a law firm equipped with the resources, expertise, and relentless determination to secure the best outcome for your career.

At Capovilla & Williams, we bring decades of military justice experience and a deep connection to Beale AFB. Our team has served in leadership roles within Beale Air Force Base and has handled some of the most complex and high-volume caseloads in the service. Today, our dedicated team is deeply rooted in the local Beale AFB community, consistently representing Airmen in a wide range of allegations and investigations. We know the commands, the attorneys, and the culture inside and out, and we know how to position our clients for success. Our expertise is unmatched, and we are here to advocate fiercely for our clients.

Beale AFB Plays a Critical Role in Our National Security. Anyone who has served, lived, or trained at Beale AFB understands its vital role in national security. It is home to the 9th Reconnaissance Wing and serves as the Air Force’s only base supporting the U-2 “Dragon Lady,” a high-altitude reconnaissance aircraft capable of flying above 70,000 feet. Beale’s mission requires precision, trust, and accountability—qualities that also define how we protect our clients.

Additionally, Beale AFB hosts the RQ-4 Global Hawk, an unmanned aerial vehicle used for reconnaissance. Other units stationed at Beale include the 940th Air Refueling Wing (Air Force Reserve), the 548th Intelligence, Surveillance, and Reconnaissance Group, and the 7th Space Warning Squadron.

Experience.  At Capovilla & Williams, our connection to Beale AFB is built on real leadership and results. Our attorneys have first hand experience working and advocating at Beale AFB. Col (ret.) Chris Jones served as the Staff Judge Advocate at Beale AFB, where he led a legal office of over 25 personnel, advised more than 30 commanders, and acted as the senior legal advisor for a base of approximately 5,000 Airmen. MSgt (ret.) Libertyann Kehr served as the Non Commissioned Officer in charge of Military Justice for Beale AFB, and later as the Law Office Superintendent and senior enlisted legal member for the legal office. Under their leadership, Beale AFB held more courts martial than any other Air Force base in the world in 2019, resolving a three year backlog of cases.

Case Result: Our O-5 client, a former squadron commander, faced a career threatening removal for cause and a Letter of Reprimand that placed his retirement and legacy at risk. We filed an Article 138 complaint challenging the command’s actions as improper. Through legal strategy and advocacy, the complaint was successful. All adverse information was removed from the client’s Officer Selection Record, and he avoided an Officer Grade Determination, allowing him to retire at his earned rank and preserve his career.

Size. A law firm’s size doesn’t always determine its effectiveness, efficiency, or success. However, when it comes to military cases, size plays a critical role because the opposing party is the U.S. government, which brings significant resources to the table. At Capovilla & Williams, we not only match but often surpass the federal government’s resources in these cases. With 16 dedicated full-time attorneys—each a valued employee of our firm rather than merely “Of Counsel”—we ensure you have a powerful legal team on your side. Our team includes 7 former military investigators with extensive backgrounds in CID, NCIS, and OSI, who meticulously review every detail of your case to uncover all exculpatory evidence. Plus, our dedicated support staff is focused on delivering every possible advantage in your defense at Beale AFB. From detailed case analysis to strategic preparation, our team works tirelessly behind the scenes to strengthen your position at every stage. With us, you have a formidable ally ready to protect your career, your reputation, and your future.

Independent Awards. There are numerous attorney award programs in the legal industry, both national and local, but few rival the prestige of Super Lawyers. This distinguished program rigorously evaluates and honors attorneys based on peer opinions, experience, and disciplinary history. Capovilla & Williams is proud to lead the field, with more military attorneys recognized by Super Lawyers than any other firm—an impressive feat that speaks for itself. In addition, we proudly boast over 400 five-star reviews on Google, establishing us in an elite category that sets us apart from the competition. We invite you to compare our track record with any other military law firm in the nation; the difference in performance is undeniable.

As dedicated and accomplished military attorneys, we are also the hosts of the Military Justice Today Podcast, a nationally-recognized platform covering vital military justice topics across the DoD. Check out our latest episodes here: Military Justice Today – Podcast.
