After graduation, she commissioned as a Judge Advocate in the United States Air Force, where she embarked on her remarkable journey at Grand Forks, North Dakota, and Altus, Oklahoma, serving as a military prosecutor. In this critical role, Lacey showcased her leadership by coordinating over 200 criminal investigations and taking the reins as lead prosecutor on 17 courts-martial. Her dedication to managing discovery, motions practice, and trial preparation, along with conducting extensive witness interviews and securing warrants, subpoenas, and evidence, set her apart. After her impactful assignment at Grand Forks, Lacey stepped into the role of Area Defense Counsel at Scott Air Force Base in Illinois, where she truly shined.
